Valoración, mediante el análisis de imagen, del proceso de reparación de las fracturas mandibulares

espanolLas fracturas de mandibula representan la patologia traumatologica mas frecuente en el territorio maxilofacial. Su tratamiento se ha ido modificando en funcion de la aparicion de nuevos sistemas de osteosintesis. En el presente trabajo se realiza un estudio retrospectivo del proceso de reparacion osea que ocurre en las fracturas mandibulares, utilizando el sistema C.A.D.I.A. (Computer Assisted Densitometric Image Analysis). Se investiga la aplicabilidad de este sistema para el seguimiento y control de los pacientes tratados de esta patologia y se comparan los resultados obtenidos en funcion del tipo de tratamiento aplicado (bloqueo intermaxilar versus fijacion interna con placas y tornillos). EnglishMandibular fractures are the main pathology in maxillofacial trauma. Treatment has been gone modifying with the appearance of new osteosynthesis systems. This study attempted to evaluate the bone repairprocess in mandibular fractures with the Computer Assisted Densitometric Image Analysis (C.A.D.I.A.) system. We had studied the validity of this system for the follow-up and control of the patients. The results obtained in the cases treated through conservative methods has been compared with the obtained with internal fixation ones.
