Stability and control of large scale power systems using decomposition-aggregation techniques

Abstract The problems of stability and control of large scale power systems are examined in this paper using decomposition-aggregation techniques. An approach for decomposition-aggregation based on coherence property of the system is described. Then stability analysis and control strategies using this technique are illustrated. The potential application of the approach is illustrated through an example consists of 11 generators.
