Simulation on Photovoltaic Cells MPPT Algorithm Based on Improved Perturbation Method

It is necessary to track the maximum power point of solar cell array rapidly and accurately to improve the efficiency of photovoltaic system.A simulation model of photovoltaic cells arrays was established according to the electrical characteristics of solar cell array.This model can simulate output characteristics of the solar cell array under different sunshine and temperature conditions.Aiming at the shortage of duty ratio perturbation,a duty ratio perturbation based on fuzzy-PI control for maximum power point tracking(MPPT) was proposed and simulated under Matlab environment.Simulation results show that duty ratio perturbation algorithm based on fuzzy-PI control can track the maximum power of photovoltaic cells rapidly and increase the maximum power point tracking accuracy and have good static and dynamic performance when compared with the duty ratio perturbation method.
