Structure and Properties of Substitution of Fluorine for Apical Oxygen in Pb2Sr2Y0.5Ca0.5Cu3O8+δ Superconductor

Structure and properties of Pb-based superconductor with F doped as well as its synthesis are examined in this paper. Besides, substitution of F for apex oxygen O(A) atoms in CuO5 square pyramid is confirmed by experimental results. It is pointed out that reducing the distance between carrier plane and charge reservoir will favour the hole doping and enhancement of Tc.
