CIPC-2,4-D Combinations for Control of 2,4-D-Resistant Monocot Species

1970
Laboratory, greenhouse and field studies show that CIPC pretreatments alter 2,4-D resistant monocot species making them susceptible to subsequent 2,4-D treatments. Pretreatment with 1 lb/A CIPC followed 1- several weeks later by 1 lb/A 2,4-D has given control of wild garlic (Allium vineale) and eradication of yellow nutsedge (Cyperus esculentus) along roadsides and in turf.
