Polarizability of Electronically Excited States
2022
Electric properties of molecules in excited electronic states are far less known and less frequently studied (both experimentally and theoretically) than their ground-state counterparts [1, 2, 3] despite the fact that these properties are of growing interest in different fields, e.g., in design of substances and materials with large nonlinear optical properties [4, 5] (particularly, they also play a key role in understanding the solvent effects on frequency shifts in electronic spectra [2, 6, 7]) and in the kinetics and transport of thermally nonequilibrium reacting gas flows [8, 9, 10].
