Positron lifetimes in rare earth oxides

Abstract The data of positron lifetimes with their intensities in La 2 O 3 , Nd 2 O 3 , Sm 2 O 3 , Dy 2 O 2 and Yb 2 O 3 are presented. A possible origin for the long components τ 2 and τ 4 is suggested.
