IDENTIFICATION AND GROWTH-PROMOTION OF ENDOPHYTIC BACTERIA LP-5 IN PEAR PLANT

2010
One endophytic bacteria strain LP-5 which could significantly inhibit some phytopathogenic fungi was isolated from xylem of pear.According to morphology, physicochemical test, and analysis of the 16S rDNA sequence and specific amplified fragment, the strain was identified as Bacillus amyloliquefaciens.Pot experiments indicated the strain could significantly promote cucumber seedlings growth. The root length of cucumber seedlings increased 36.32% after treatment by 20 times dilution of strain LP-5 fermentation broth, and the plant height, stem diameter and dry weight of cucumber seedlings increased about 9.06% ,14.67% and 24.14% ,respectively. The analysis of metabolites of strain LP-5 showed that the strain could produce indole-3-acetic-acid(IAA) by using high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC).
