Variable valve lift apparatus of engine for vehicles

2006
A variable valve lift apparatus of an engine for vehicles is provided to freely control a valve lift by controlling the position of a roller except for a pivot point of an HLA(Hydraulic Lash Adjuster) side and a valve stem end contact unit. A variable valve lift apparatus of an engine for vehicles is used in a valve train. The valve train is provided with a valve(4) with a valve spring(2), a roller finger follower(8) with a roller(6) for operating the variable valve lift, an HLA(10) forming a pivot point of the roller finger follower, and a cam(12) with one cam profile. The roller is placed at a slide hole(18) formed at both sidewalls of a roller installation unit of the roller finger follower to be movable back and forth by installing a roller supporting shaft(20). The roller supporting shaft is connected to a hydraulic transferring unit which moves the roller back and forth by oil pressure supplied from the HLA.
