Thermodynamics of phase transitions in the MgS-Ln2S3(Ln = La, Gd, Dy) systems

Based on evidence from thermal analysis, we estimated the heats of melting for binary and mixed sulfides existing in the MgS-Ln 2 S 3 (Ln = La, Gd, Dy) systems. Thermodynamic analysis of the melt behavior of components wasmade. It is possible that the compound MgLa 2 S 4 exists. The existence of the compound MgDy 4 S 7 was predicted and proven experimentally.
