Association study of TAF7L two SNPs with oligozoospermia patients

2017
Abstract Purpose Association study of individuals with Oligozoospermia and SNPs rs779628545 and rs143224460 of TAF7L gene. Methods One hundred non obstructive infertility of oligozoospermia patient samples and one hundred and five fertile samples used in this study. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) rs779628545 (SNP1) and rs143224460 (SNP2) were examined by PCR- Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) and Sanger sequencing. Results It was observed that rs779628545 showed the same genotype (TT) between case and control and also rs143224460 indicated TT genotype in both case and control samples which is different with frequencies reported for this SNP in NCBI database. Conclusion Association study upon these SNPs was done for first time. Results showed that these two SNPs did not exist in Iranian population and have no significant relation with oligozoospermia infertility, although further study on more samples is determined.
