FREQUENCY OF PARTHENOGENESIS IN CHICKENS AFTER INSEMINATION WITH IRRADIATED SPERM.

1971
The parthenogenetic membranes appeared to increase in size following insemination with irradiated sperm in a parthenogenetic line of chickens, but not in a nonparthenogenetic line. Irradiated sperm, given 20 000 rads, were viable but not capable of fertilization. They appeared to be effective in causing more or larger membranes but not more embryos.
