Purple bag syndrome: a visual clue for infection.

A 35-year-old woman with recurrent, progressive stage IIIB squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix presented with a complicated urinary tract infection and was found to have bilateral purple bag syndrome. She had bilateral percutaneous nephrostomy tubes placed 8 months prior for extrinsic ureteral
