A system of the present invention is provided with: a multijoint robot (9) having an arm (11) and a base section (10) that pivotally supports the arm (11); and a rotation positioner (6) to which the base section (10) of the multijoint robot (9) is attached. The pivot axis line (JT1) of the base section (10) of the multijoint robot (9) is orthogonal to the rotation axis line (JT7) of the rotation positioner (6). The freedom degree of operations to be performed by the robot can be increased by eliminating interference between a workpiece and the arm.
