MP20-11 URINARY STONE CHEMICAL ANALYSIS VS. INFRARED SPECTROSCOPY: A MICRO-CT ASSISTED COMPARATIVE BI-CENTER STUDY

2014
RESULTS: At day seven, the voiding, storage symptoms scores and IPSS were significantly lower in group A, B and C in comparison to group D (control group) (p<0.05). In group C the improvement in the symptoms was significantly better than in group A (tamsulosin group) or B alone (tolterodine group) (p<0.05). At day 14, the voiding symptoms and IPSS were significantly lower in group A, B, C (combined tamsulosin and tolterodine group) than control group D. the improvement was better in combined tamsulosin and tolterodine group. CONCLUSIONS: The Combination of alpha blocker (tamsulosin) and anticholinergic (tolterodine) has better effect in improving the lower urinary tract symptoms associated with double J ureteral stent placement after ureteroscopy.
