Sinusitis and Pharyngitis

Acute sinusitis can be arbitrarily defined as an infection of the sinuses in which the signs and symptoms have been present for less than a month. Usually multiple sinuses are infected simultaneously. Isolated maxillary sinusitis necessitates a search for an infected tooth.
