Reflexões sobre a diversidade na educação infantil: um olhar para a formação de professores

The present study aims to propose reflections on diversity in Early Childhood Education, specifically considering the target audience of Special Education. Initially the course of Early Childhood Education from the assistentialist period to its educational role was associated with aspects of caring and educating. Next, the concept of diversity and its implications in education, as well as its importance in the principle of Basic Education, was discussed. Finally, we discussed the training of teachers so that it is possible to provide quality education for all, with a focus on valuing diversity. It was concluded that there is a small number of researches on the subject and that teacher training is a fundamental way for inclusion to take effect and to broaden the view, considering diversity.
