Low-angle gradient echo sequences; Secuencias de eco de gradiente con angulo limitado

This article deals with an attempt to systematize the concepts relative to acquisition of magnetic resonance (MR) images by means of low-angle gradient echo (GE) sequences, considered to be a first-generation fast imaging technique. The clinical indications established to date are also discussed. We present a brief summary of some of the basic aspects of MR imaging before undertaking the description of these sequences. The references include some articles that explain in detail the process of MR image acquisition. (Author) 13 refs.
