Kinetic studies of the electron-beam-pumped ArF laser

Results from ArF kinetics calculations -- including vibrational relaxation, B/C state mixing and amplified spontaneous emission --are compared to experiments measuring extracted intensity and fluorescence yield. An efficient two-stage amplifier is then designed. 3 refs.
