Decentralized execution of composite e-services with VINCA micro engine

2005
E-services are important resources for constructing network applications. Traditional composite e-service execution employs centralized execution model. Drawbacks of the approach include limited scalability and single point of failure. In this paper, we present a decentralized execution model: VINCA micro engine, to address the above problems, both by managing interpretation and execution of individual business services, and by coordinating executions of multiple business services. The paper presents the composite e-services description, the decentralized execution model, and the platform for constructing network applications, in the context of FLAME2008 project, with some promising experiment results.
