STABILIZING CBaRX'iXRISTICS OF POST-COlJPLERS

A model of Uvarez linac equipped with post-couplers was constructed. The field distribution and the resonant frequency of the accelerating mode were measured to study its properties against pertur- bations. The experimental results were compared with an analysis using equivalent circuits. Post-couplers have an effect to distort the field distribution as well as to stabilize it depending upon the length of the posts.
