Backstepping Adaptive Fuzzy Control of Arc Furnace

Arc furnace is the typical complex controlled system with three-phase strong coupling,high nonlinearity and uncertainty.The control requirement of arc furnace is also more and more strict.The backsteeping control is combined with the adaptive fuzzy control.It is applied to electrode regulator systems of arc furnace,and the detailed design procedure of the backstepping adaptive fuzzy control system is presented.The backstepping controller is designed by recurring.The adaptive fuzzy control is utilized to approach the uncertain term of backstepping control.The law of the adaptive fuzzy control is presented.the adaptive law of the fuzzy rulers parameters is derived by Lyapunov function.The supervisory control is utilized for restraining the fuzzy approximate error.The results of simulation show that this proposed arithmetic of control can restrain the disturbance of arc length effectively,and has a stronger robustness,accordingly obtains more better dynamic characteristics in the electrode regulator systems.
