LAS HISTORIAS DE VIDA DEL PROFESORADO

2014
This paper deals with the relationship between biographies (life stories) and their contexts, between voices and their (re)presentation in research reports. Teacher’s voices, in order to become “life stories” must be duly contextualized. The interactive or reciprocal relationship among voices, lives, and contexts must be made explicit in research. A task of interpretative research is to transform life stories into life histories, the narratives of actions into the genealogies of context, by employing triangulation and adequate methodology. Life stories reflect narrative biographical learning. The final part of the paper, as current context, analyzes the role of life histories in times of educational change and restructuring.
