: Radiotherapy has a well-established role in palliative care of patients with cancer. It is a local treatment of short duration, the number of fractions should be kept to a minimum without loss of efficacy. Radiotherapy can control superior vena caval obstruction, spinal cord compression, brain metastases, painful bone metastases, and tumor-related bleeding.
