Steamdrive pilot project management in northeast Brazil

Estreito field contains heavy oil and has been successfully steam cycled since 1984. The first steamdrive pilot was begun in November 1998. A seismic survey to monitor the steam front was acquired 6 months after the pilot was begun. The full-length paper presents the integration of the pilot results, the seismic survey, and the numeric flow simulation as a way to manage a steamdrive process.
