Reduction of the integral absorbed dose with the aid of XRP instruments with a special rectangular collimating device

— The surface dose at beam entrance measured by ionization chamber (Diamentor) when a long cone technique with extra diaphragm (XRP) was used showed a reduction of 50 per cent in the integral absorbed dose, 912 to 438 gram rads, for complete dental roentgenograms.
