Meshing efficiency analysis of 2K-H type differential gear train closed by CVT

For the problem that power circulation and low efficiency easily occur in closed Continuously Variable Transmission(CVT),the input-coupled CVT drive system was taken as the object of study,the fundamental structure and working principle of the input-coupled CVT drive system were briefly introduced.Without loss of energy in the input-coupled CVT drive system,the sufficient condition for the input-coupled CVT drive system to realize power split was deduced in detail.Next,under the sufficient condition,the meshing efficiency expression for the 2K-H type differential gear train acting as power confluence in the input-coupled CVT drive system was simplified,and the factors related to meshing efficiency of the 2K-H type differential gear train such as the structural parameter and motion state of input components were obtained.The conditions for meshing efficiency of the 2K-H type differential gear train to be maximized were demonstrated.Finally,the conditions of maximum meshing efficiency for the 2K-H type differential gear train were verified by analyzing the examples.The results show that the conditions of maximum meshing efficiency ensure the highest meshing efficiency of the 2K-H type differential gear train from the design point of view.The idea of maximizing the meshing efficiency analysis of the 2K-H type differential gear train is an effective design approach.
