Progress in Surface Modification of High Quality Quantum Dots and Their Applications

Recently,quantum dots (QDs) with unique photonic,physical and chemical properties have attracted extensive attentions,especially the research and development of high quality QDs applied in both biology and medicine fields. In this paper,various QDs surface modification techniques to improve the luminescence efficiency and biomedical performance are summarized. Furthermore,the recent research progress in quantum dots(QDs) for electronic devices,biological and medical applications are reviewed too. Finally,the current challenge for QDs application and development trend in the near future are discussed.
