Abstract an efficient synthesis of N-hydroxy-α-amino phosphonate derivatives has been developed using a Mitsunobu reaction with N-phenoxycarbonyl-O-tert-butyl-alkoxycarbonyl hydroxylamine and α-hydroxy phosphonates.
