The effect of the superconducting transition on the electronic work function of niobium

1976
Abstract A modified Kelvin method has been employed to measure the temperature dependence of the work function of niobium at low temperatures. Data have been obtained both above and below the superconducting transition temperature. A feature associated with the transition is evident. Measurements on aluminum and copper are also presented.
