Microcomputers as a Management Tool for Hospital Pharmacy Directors

1984
Abstract More and more hospital pharmacies are becoming computerized with hospitalwide or “stand alone” information systems. While these systems offer efficiencies in prescription processing, patient billing systems, etc., their internal management capabilities for the director are quite limited. Many hospital pharmacy directors are opting for a personal or professional microcomputer to address their specific administrative needs. This article discusses the development of six management reports utilizing commercially available “user friendly” financial spreadsheets as templates on a Apple II+ personal microcomputer.
