Process for the preparation of derivatives of 3-triazolyl sulphoxide of general formula (I) in enantiomerically pure form or in enantiomerically enriched form. wherein X1 and X2 are each independently fluorine, chlorine, bromine, hydrogen, C1-C12 alkyl or haloalkyl C1-C12, Y1 and Y2 are each independently fluorine, chlorine, bromine, hydrogen alkyl, C1-C12 alkyl or haloalkyl C1 - C12, R1 and R2 represent independently hydrogen, C1-C12 alkyl, C1-C12 haloalkyl, cyano, halogen or nitro, R3 represents hydrogen, C1-C12 alkyl, amino, nitro, NH (CO) -C1-C12 or N> = CR'R, wherein R and R 'represent independently hydrogen, C1-C12 or aryl, wherein alkyl in that (a) reacting a sulfide of formula (II) wherein X1, X2, Y1, Y2, R1, R2 and R3 are as defined above, in the presence of a chiral catalyst and an oxidizing agent meanings, selecting the oxidizing agent hydrogen peroxide, hydroperoxide, alkyl hydroperoxide and arylalkyl and wherein the chiral catalyst one metal-chiral ligand and the metal a met the transition.
