Clone and sequence determination of iss gene in avian E. coli O2/O74.

PCR techniques were used to examine the presence of iss gene in avian E.coli isolate O2/O74,and compared with an avian E.coli isolate O2.Results showed that the sequence of iss was found in O2/O74 only isolated by nested PCR instead of universal primer PCR.And the sequence of iss gene from KO2/O74 had 99.7% of homology with iss gene from avian E.coli isolated(AF042279 in GenBank).90.6% homology with the iss gene from human E.coli isolate,and 88% homology with lambda bor.It showed that iss gene was highly conserved.
