METODE MOLTING UNTUK MENGOPTIMALKAN PRODUKSI TELUR PADA AYAM LAYER AFKIR

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui lama produksi telur optimal pada ayam petelur afkir setelah dilakukan molting dengan metode puasa pakan. Pada penelitian ini digunakan 3000 ayam pelur afkir berumur 80 minggu, penelitian dilakukan di Subur Farm. Pakan layer PT Samsung diberikan sebanyak 120 g/ekor/hari selanjutnya pakan dikurangi setiap hari sebanyak 10 g/ekor sampai pemberian mencapai 50 g/ekor/hari, ayam afkir kemudian dipuasakan selama tujuh hari selanjutnya ayam mulai diberikan pakan kembali sebanyak 10 g/ekor pada hari pertama, pakan ditingkatkan 10 g/ekor setiap dua hari sampai 120 g/ekor/hari. Hasil analisis data dengan split plot in time menunjukkan perbedaan signifikan (P<0,05) pada persentase produksi telur antar periode waktu pasca perlakuan perontokan bulu paksa. Persentase produksi telur pasca molting tertinggi dihasilkan pada periode minggu ke- 9 dengan nilai rata A¢i?½i?½ rata 76,94 %. Persentase produksi telur pada minggu ke- 9 memiliki perbedaan signifikan (P < 0,05) dengan minggu ke- 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 namun tidak berbeda dengan minggu ke- 8 dan ke- 10. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa persentase produksi telur optimal dicapai mulai minggu ke- 8 sampai 15 setelah proses molting. The purpose of this research was to determine the optimum time of egg production after molting by fasting method. In this research used 3000 post production laying hens aged 80 weeks, the research carried out in Subur Farm. Post production laying hens then feed by layer fed producted PT Samsung as much as 120 g / chicken / day further reduced their feed every day as much as 10 g / chicken to feed up to 50 g / chicken / day, then post production laying hen were fasted for seven days and then began given feed as much as 10 g / chicken on the first day, improved feed 10 g / chicken every two days until the provision of up to 120 g / chicken / day. The results of data analysis with a split plot in time showed a significant difference (P <0.05) in the percentage of egg production between the post-treatment period. The highest percentage of egg production in the period 9th week with average value 76.937%. Percentage of egg production at 9th week have significant differences (P <0.05) with weeks 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th but did not differences from 8th and 10th weeks. Based on the results research concluded that the optimal percentage of egg production was achieved in a period of weeks to 8 to 15 after molting process.
