Sliding, especially for hydraulic disc brakes and process for their coating

A brake caliper 6 which engages around a brake disc and brake shoes, is slidingly mounted on a brake carrier 5 by means of a pin 2 and is provided with piston 1, the piston 1 and/or pin being equipped with nonmetallic nonorganic materials 3 e.g. coatings of ceramic or enamellar materials in the sliding surfaces. The coatings may be applied to the sliding surfaces by means of plasma spraying.
