Developing the CIES Newsletter

The CIES Newsletter has changed since the organization was founded in 1956, for four reasons. First, the organization itself grew, matured, and adopted more fonnal structures. Gerald Read's purple mimeographed notes, distributed whenever he had news to transmit, gave way to quarterly printed documents, numbered in sequence.
