Effects of Needle Embedding Therapy on Sleep and Mood Station in Patients with Anxiety Disorders

Objective :To probe the method of needle embedding therapy on sleep and mood station in patients with anxiety disorders.Methods :Fifty-five patients with anxiety disorders were randomly divided into treated group(27)and control group(28).The treated group was treated with needle embedding therapy,while control group with alprazolam,both treated for 8 weeks.Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Indexes (PSQI),Hamilton Anxiety Scale(HAMA)and Self-Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS)were collected before and after the treatments.Results :The indexes of sleep quality,sleep disorder,sleep efficiency were improved in both two groups,and the indexes of sleep time and sleep disorders were improved significantly in treated group than those in control group.The scores of HAMA and SAS were also decreased in both two groups,specially decreased in treated group.Conclusion :Needle embedding therapy can relieve anxiety mood and improve sleep quality in anxiety disorders.
