The invention discloses application of a Picria fel-terrae Lour extract in pharmacy, in particular to application of the Picria fel-terrae Lour extract in analgesic drugs. The preparation method of the Picria fel-terrae Lour extract comprises the following steps of: taking Picria fel-terrae Lour, adding water, decocting and extracting, the resulting extract passing through a macroporous resin column, washing the resin column with water, and then eluting with lower carbon alcohol with a volume concentration of 40 to 50, collecting an alcohol eluate, concentrating and drying to obtain the Picria fel-terrae Lour extract. The applicant found that the analgesic inhibition rate of the extract with the same dosage is almost 2 times larger than that of a Picria fel-terrae Lour aqueous extract, the anti-inflammatory effect is better while the analgesic effect is ensured, and the extract has little toxic side effects and is very suitable for the preparation of analgesic drugs.
