The Relativity of S-100 Protein in the Patients with Brain Damage after Cardiopul-monary-cerebral Resuscitation

2009
Objective To explore the relativity of blood serum S-100 protein in the patients with brain damage after cardiopulmonary-cerebral resuscitation(CPCR).Methods S-100 protein in blood serum of 80 patients with brain damage after CPCR were detected after 2h,12h,24h,48h,72h and in 64 healthy control group. Results The level of blood serum S-100 protein in 80 patients after CPCR in-creased early and obviously, and was at peak at 2h(P0.05).It was significantly higher in each period than that in control group(P0.01).The blood serum S-100 value at 2,12,24,48 hour after resuscitation negatively correlated with GCS(P0.01 or P0.05).Conclusion S-100 protein can be a marker of the patients with brain damage after CPCR,it's a high level cue to unfavurable prognosis. Also it was conducted to evaluate the pathogenetic condition of early coma patients after cardiac arrest.
