Proposing an Architecture for IoT Based on WSN

Internet of things (IoT) is considered the future of communication and information technology due to the countless benefits it provides through its use in several fields. It is associated with several communication technologies, communication protocols, wide applications and many devices that communicate, collect and share data through connecting by wireless sensor network technology (WSN). Therefore, it is important to improve all these components to improve IoT itself. However, IoT has many characteristics based on its nature, connected devices and operations inside IoT. These characteristics imposed several challenges as well as future trends. In this paper, we proposed an architecture for IoT to provide a clear and comprehensive image of components, communication technologies, operations and challenges of IoT. This image helps to provide a clear understanding of IoT. Besides and based on the revenue of IoT, security issues are considered one of the most critical challenges of IoT, and it should be addressed as well as WSN.
