PROGNOSTIC VALUE OF TISSUE HYPOXAEMIA IN SEPTIC SURGICAL PATIENTS : THE ROLE OF SERUM LACTATE AND PYRUVATE LEVELS

One of the main clinical signs of sepsis is cell hypoxaemia. The aim of our study was to investigate the prognostic value of serum lactate and pyruvate levels and their ratio as one of the most characteristic signs of cell hypoxaemia.
