2-Hydroxyethyl Methacrylate

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly pure 2-hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate with a low EO content by efficiently removing EO at a temperature having no adverse effect to polymerization. SOLUTION: The 2-hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate has an ethylene oxide content of ≤60 ppm. Preferably, the 2-hydroxyethyl (meth)acrylate has an ethylene oxide content of ≤12 ppm.
