Perinatal deaths due to the amniotic fluid embolism

: Evaluation of medical management in cases of deaths of women in childbirth often poses significant problems. Based on the available casuistry of the Forensic Medicine Department of the Medical University of Warsaw, the authors attempted an assessment of medical management based on the analysis of medical records from the period 1999-2007 along with the results of autopsies and histopathological examinations in selected cases of deaths, emphasizing the principles of management and therapeutic possibilities in amniotic fluid embolism.
