The article analyses the world consumption of cattle-breeding food products in developed and developing countries, and also, existing and forecasted structure of cattle-breeding production and consumption. The author tries to evaluate the specific features of the cattle-breeding impact on the environment in the conditions of the population''s vigorous growth, and the need of increasing of the production of food products as the result. The article substantiates the possibilities of cattle-breeding wastes, which could be used as a source of raw materials to decrease of their adverse impact on the environment. The author concludes that the sustainability of the existence of human civilization and food security of the world''s population, it is vital to stabilize the ecological state of the natural environment.
