Study on Seed Protein Electrophoresis of Official Rhubarb and Its Adulterants

Acid-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis was employed to identify the seed protein of wild rhubarb and its adulterants from different sources.The results indicated that there were some differences on grades,regions and quantities between the identification bands of official rhubarb and its substitutes except R.tanguticue.The genetic similarity(GS) varied from 0.294 to 0.706,with the average of 0.522.Compared to R.tanguticum,the genetic relationship between R.palmatum and R.offcinale is closer.There were more obvious genetic differences between the two species of R.tanguticum.
