Some Characteristics of Development of Latest Bilateral Investment Treaties

Since 1980s, especially during 1990s, the quick development of bilateral investment treaties has attracted great attention. It has become a great mark of development of international legislation for global investments. Many articles in these treaties have reflected the trend of weakening host countries' jurisdiction of overseas investments. Facing the challenge are UN's series of resolutions about protections of host countries' jurisdiction of overseas investments and the setup of new international economic orders. \ \
