Laparoscopic evacuation of a subcapsular renal hematoma causing symptomatic hypertension.

ABSTRACT We report the case of a subcapsular hematoma following extracorporeal shockwave lithotripsy which presented as symptomatic hypertension. When medical therapy proved ineffective, laparoscopic decompression of the hematoma corrected the hypertension.
