Similarities and Differences of Gasoline Automobile Emission under Conditions of Speeding up and of Two-speed Idle

2008
Analysis and comparison were made as to the similarities and differences of gasoline automobile transient emission under conditions of speeding up and that of two-speed idle. The speeding up transient emission of gasoline automobile was obtained by adopting movement detection program, the steady emission of gasoline automobile obtained by the program of two-speed idle. And the transient emission of gasoline automobile was evaluated by means of volume fraction, area value and Shannon entropy of the symbolic time series analysis. The similarity is: the lower the rotational speed, the smaller the of excessive air coefficient, the greater the emission. The difference is: the emission in the former condition is greater than that of the latter;the combustion turbulence of the former is worse than that of the latter. The emission obtained under conditions of two-speed idle fails to reflect the emission of obtained under conditions of speeding up.As the shelves rise under conditions of speeding up,the transient emission increases, and combustion disorder decreases to a larger degree.
