Research on Strength Performance of Cold-briquetted Carbon-containing Pellet of Vanadium Titano-magnetite

2012
Based on the rotary hearth furnace(RHF) direct reduction process, vanadium titano-magnetites are used as raw materials for research of cold briquetting pelletizing process. The influences of ore fines particle size, coal fines particles size and carbon ratio etc,on the wet green drop index were studied through orthogonal experiment, and their influencing regularities were analyzed. The optimal process parameters are as follows:the ore fines and coal fines should contain minus 200 mesh 15% and 65% respectively,C/O(carbon ratio) is 1.2 and moisture water addition is 11%.Under this condition, the wet-drop strength can be up to 14.9 times, which fully meets the requirement of the rotary hearth furnace (RHF) production process.
