The invention discloses a converter and a method for reducing node voltage. The converter comprises a first transmission circuit and a second transmission circuit, wherein the first transmission circuit is used for receiving first alternating voltage, the second transmission circuit is electrically coupled with the first transmission circuit and used for outputting second alternating voltage, one of the first transmission circuit and the second transmission circuit comprises one or more voltage dividing units, the other one of the first transmission circuit and the second transmission circuit comprises two or more voltage dividing units, each voltage dividing unit comprises an inductance network and a capacitance network which are connected in series, and the inductance networks and capacitance networks of adjacent voltage dividing units are connected in series alternately.
